Firmware Engineer

Telematics Master has a vacancy for a Firmware Engineer. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and reports to the Engineering Manager. Location:

Purpose:


The Firmware Embedded Engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of Firmware / embedded modules, write firmware according to FSI Software Standards. Qualify firmware modules through unit and system testing, assist with the development of regression and production testing design and specification, diagnose faults in devices returned from the field, as well as participate in Design and Quality reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Firmware / Embedded Development
    Design and Development embedded software / firmware
  • 2. Unit Testing
    Testing all code modules
  • 3. Integration Testing
    Qualification of the product
  • 4. Diagnostic
    Diagnosing and fixing firmware faults


Personal Attributes, Knowledge & Skills:

  • C language and a thorough understanding of abstraction, encapsulation and modularization
  • Microprocessors
  • GSM Modems
  • GPS Modules
  • Low level communication protocols
  • Electronic Schematics
  • In-vehicle CAN bus systems including J1708, J1939, OBDII
  • Bluetooth and WI-Fi embedded designs will be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team or on your own
  • Ability to communicate your ideas clearly
  • Enthusiastic, "can-do" attitude towards your work


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bsc Electronic Engineering or Higher Diploma in Electronics
  • 3 to 5 year experience
  • English and / or Arabic
